Some of the parts may be the different, but the heart and soul of the Villanova Wildcats remains the same.

The 2016 National Championship team looks primed to repeat, as the second-ranked Wildcats led by Big East and likely player of the year Josh Hart rolled to a 74-60 victory over Creighton to win their second Big East tournament title in the last three years.

With the win, Villanova (31-3) will be awarded the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament when the seedings and pairings are announced Sunday.

Kris Jenkins sat for most of the first half because of foul trouble, picking up his second less than five minutes into the contest and didn’t return until later. Jenkins still scored eight points in the first half and finished with 14 total for the Wildcats.

Hart led the Wildcats with 29 points (15 in the first half), earning the tournament’s most valuable player for the second time in three years, joining Louisville’s Peyton Siva and Georgetown’s Patrick Ewing as two-time winners of the award. Jalen Brunson added 17 points.
