Marcus Keene wants to strike while the iron is hot. The Associated Press is reporting that the Central Michigan point guard and nation's leading scorer will declare for the upcoming NBA Draft.

The 5-foot-9 point guard scored 30 points per game as a redshirt junior this season, the highest scoring average by a Division I player in 20 years. The person spoke Tuesday on condition of anonymity, because an announcement had not been made by the school.

Keene scored more than 40 points in a game seven times in 2016-2017, and set the conference all-time season scoring record with 958 points scored.
