John Wall’s latest misfortune could mean an All-Star appearance for one Ben Simmons. Per Candace Buckner, the Washington Wizards star point guard will undergo a knee procedure tomorrow (described as a clean up) that will force him to miss six weeks.

Wall also will not play in the upcoming All-Star game also, per reports. On Monday, Wall had an MRI on his knee and met with the same doctors in Cleveland who performed surgery on his knees in 2016.
“It’s a concern but we have to trust that the doctors and everybody is going to have the best game plan for him going forward and it’s always about him going forward, not about us going forward,” said head coach Scott Brooks. “We want to make sure, not only with John but with all our guys that their career is most important. But right now I don’t know how concerned, but we’re definitely concerned that it is bothering him from time to time.”
Wall is averaging 19.4 points and 9.3 assists per game, while shooting 41.7% from the floor for the Wizards, which currently are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
