Despite what many fantasy owners would believe, there are still a few solid quarterbacks available in most leagues.

Sure, these guys aren't going to lead you to a fantasy title, but they may play a pivotal role in case of injury or an untimely bye week.

Check out these three Week 8 QB steals:

Kevin Kolb

Arizona Cardinals' quarterback Kevin Kolb performed quite well last week against the Steelers, scoring 21 fantasy points in ESPN leagues, the most since his first two games of 2011.

Sure Kolb is going up against the vaunted Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 8, but I've witnessed Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald break free from the Baltimore secondary on more than one occasion.

Christian Ponder

Minnesota Vikings' rookie quarterback Christian Ponder had a surprisingly solid game against the Packers last Sunday afternoon, leading many to believe that he has the potential to survive under center in the NFL.

Ponder threw for more than 200 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7, making him one of the hottest fantasy pickups this past week; he's now owned in nearly 11 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues.

John Beck

John Beck wasn't terrible in his first start for the Washington Redskins last week; he scored 20 ESPN fantasy points.

Beck will have the potential to gain huge chunks of yards through the air at Buffalo on Sunday, but also remember that the Bills are among the best defenses in the league at turning over opposing quarterbacks.

Still, Beck like the others, is available and a solid start in case of emergency.
