It's sad seeing Sidney Crosby struggle recently. He's been out for much of the past year due to concussion-related symptoms, only allowing him to play eight games.

Crosby will be returning soon, but not yet, and definitely not this Sunday as the Peguins take on Boston Bruins.

"Hopefully, it's soon," he told NHL.com.

Crosby has only been through two full practices after he was cleared for contact practices on Tuesday. Crosby's earliest return can be this Thursday against the New York Rangers.

"A practice was cancelled (Thursday), we've had only a couple of morning skates, and this is something you don't want to mess around with," Crosby said. "You've got to be sure -- especially this time of year, when it's more physical than ever -- everything is well tested and make sure you've done the right things to prepare. That's basically what it comes down to."

Hopefully he comes back soon.
