Jerry Sloan has reportedly withdrawn from consideration into being the new head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats.

According to the Associated Press, Charlotte is now down to only Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw and Los Angeles Lakers assistant Quin Snyder.

It seems like Sloan was tired of waiting on Michael Jordan and the Bobcats, and I don't think it was a smart decision at all by them. It's clear that Sloan was right for the job and it seems like he felt disrespected being in the same line as Shaw and Snyder, after seeing what he has done in the league.

Sloan could have definitely turned around Charlotte, but now the Bobcats could heading for another 10-win season as their is no certainty of what Snyder or Shaw can do as first-time head coaches in the league.

"They are impressive candidates," Bobcats president of basketball operations Rod Higgins said of Shaw and Snyder.

However, there is a possibility of going for another candidate.

"Maybe," Higgins said. "I want to be as transparent as possible but at the same time there are certain things we want to keep private."

It could be possible that they could call up Stan Van Gundy or Phil Jackson, but it doesn't seem likely. I'm guessing they will go with Shaw unless if heads over to Orlando instead.

We'll see what Charlotte does soon.
