In just two short years, Rory McIlroy has started to make a big name for himself in the world of golf. The 23-year-old dominated in this year's PGA championship, beating everyone by a record eight-strokes.

McIlroy becomes the youngest player since Seve Ballesteros to win two major tournaments. Tiger Woods was four months older than McIlroy when he won his second major, so he could be on a solid track.

"I think I heard Tiger say, 'You can have a good season, but to make a good season a great season, you need a major championship,'" McIlroy told the Associated Press as he returned to No. 1 in the world with the win. "Now I've had two great seasons in a row no matter what happens from here in now. Hopefully, I can play some great golf from now until the end of the year and get myself ready for another great season next year, too."

Woods had a chance, but it wasn't enough. It was one hell of a performance by McIlroy in this tournament. He's definitely heading down the right path now.
