The Pittsburgh Steelers will start Isaac Redman at running back in the team's Sunday regular season-opener versus the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Rashard Mendenhall, the original starting running back, hasn't fully recovered from his torn ACL that he suffered back in January, which leads to Redman being the guy on Sunday.

However, Redman has also dealt with injuries after having a hip injury last month. Around that time, Mendenhall was also activated from the PUP list.

It may be a while until Mendenhall could return, but general manager Kevin Colbert is expecting a return sometime during this season.

Redman, a three-year pro, hasn't blossomed into what the Steelers have hoped for yet. We'll see how he performs on Sunday.
