A terrible Thursday night just got a little worse for the Chicago Bears.

Amid the embarrassing loss to the Green Bay Packers, Pro Football Talk is reporting that running back Matt Forte has a high ankle sprain that could sideline him a few weeks.

High ankle sprains are injuries that usually cost skill players a few weeks.

Forte earlier this week had voiced his displeasure at losing certain carries to backup Michael Bush. Forte will now give up all of them for a few weeks. Bush says he is prepared to carry the load.

“That’s why I’m here: They brought me here to pick up where [Forte] left off, if something went wrong,” Bush told the Chicago Tribune. “It’s the insurance plan, I guess. I’ll be ready.”

The Bears have a lot of issues right now.
