Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez is on schedule with his rehab, according to GM Billy King.

Lopez recently met with doctors on May 16 and reports say it went well. King also says there has been no running or jumping for Lopez yet.

Last season, Lopez struggled mightily with injuries, only playing in five games. He had a fracture in his fifth metatarsal and then sprained his ankle upon returning.

He returned to the practice court on Thursday shooting jumpers and working on post moves. There will be no hard conditioning and practicing until he's fully healed.

Should the Nets keep him, or should they deal him for Dwight Howard in the summer?

I would lean toward dealing him for Howard. Sure, Lopez is a great and young big man, but both Howard and Nets management want to make this trade happen.

Orlando couldn't go worse than Lopez in a trade. It might be the only cure to their "Dwightmare." We'll see if Lopez is donning black and white at the Barclays Center or blue and white in Orlando.

It will be interesting to see how Lopez heals this summer. He's the key to possibly the biggest trade in the NBA in the last few years.
