Point guard Deron Williams is expected to be having a big summer upcoming for him once the playoffs are over, with every team looking to get him on their squad.

Williams was last seen on the Nets, doing everything for them as they struggled overall. With their new look now along with their move to Brooklyn, many expect D-Will to stay.

However, there are other teams in sight, such as the Los Angeles Lakers. Another team that has been in mind are his hometown team in the Dallas Mavericks.

Since the lockout-shortened season has started, many have expected the Mavericks to have the best chance at Williams this summer, along with possibly landing Dwight Howard.

However, after hearing Williams' recent comments, it doesn't look there's any chance of that happening.

RealGM.com reports that Williams rather prefers to stay with the Nets and re-sign with them, or head to the Lakers in a sign-and-trade. Also, as he tells Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated, he doesn't see the Mavericks as long-term option for him:

As for Dallas, which sacrificed its best chance to defend the title by preserving salary-cap space last summer in anticipation of this free-agent class, the source said of the Mavericks: "There's no longevity there." If owner Mark Cuban can clear enough space to sign a worthy sidekick for Williams, though, then maybe Williams would join his hometown team after all.

Where do you think Williams lands?

He's surely headed for a LeBron-like summer.
