Brian Banks has shown he still has his athletic ability.

After receiving a tryout by Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks, Banks impressed on his first day and was received a few more days with the team. He is also reported to work out with the San Diego Chargers soon as well.

According to the Seattle Times, Banks can still run. He ran a sub 4.7 40-yard time, and he hasn't touched the gridiron in five years! The 26-year-old can still run, and at 6-2 and 239 pounds being a linebacker, that's a pretty good time.

“This is one of those stories we need to follow, see what happens,” Carroll said. “Regardless of how it turns out, it’s the fact that he’s made it to this point, and he’s going to get this opportunity. I hope it helps other people.”

Banks is happy with the opportunity.

“Look where I am today. I thank God for this. This is a blessing. The last thing I want to do is be bitter.”

I really hope Banks gets his shot and makes an NFL roster. He truly deserves it, as he was a top recruit heading into USC. He was going to be a star if he kept up the productivity. Now he has a chance to do it again.

We'll keep you updated on the news of Banks.

This one is surely interesting.
