New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara is having a rough week.

We all know about the hazing incident. Then earlier in the week, his teammates were asking the young defensive back to display more swagger and bravado on the field.

That will have to wait another week, at the minimum.

Pro Football Talk is reporting that second-year pro suffered a right ankle injury and had to be carted off the field during a pre-season match-up versus the Chicago Bears.

He was taken directly to get X-rays on the ankle. Amukamara will likely be shut down until the season-opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 5.

The Giants cannot afford to lose him after Terrell Thomas tore his right ACL again in July. To make matters worse immediately after Amukamara left the game, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Brandon Marshall hooked up for a nice touchdown pass.
