LeGarrette Blount has shown promise during his NFL career, as he rushed for over 1,000 yards during his rookie season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers three years ago.
However, since then, Blount's production dropped. In the past two seasons combined, Blount had less rushing yards than what he produced in his rookie year.
Blount moved on from the Bucs and looked to make his worth with the New England Patriots. After last night's Week 1 preseason game versus the Philadelphia Eagles, it looks like he may have found himself a home in Boston.
Blount erupted for 101 yards in the game off of just 11 carries along with two touchdowns, helping the Pats beat Philadelphia, 31-22.
Blount had the play of the game in the second quarter, bursting for a 51-yard touchdown in a fashionable style. Blount made multiple changes of direction, going from left, to right and then back to left again for the score.
Take a look:
Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the rest of the Pats should be excited for how the running game should turn out next year.
