Peyton Siva almost went undrafted, but turned a really good summer league with the Detroit Pistons into a NBA contract.
Detroit Bad Boys is reporting that Siva has been signed by the Pistons. No details have been released, but Siva reportedly will a get a one-year guaranteed deal, with a team-option for a second.
Siva posted a photo of himself signing his deal:
He averaged about eight points and six assists to only 1.5 turnovers for the Pistons during summer league. There were some reports that the Pistons might ask Siva to play overseas this season.
Detroit has a logjam at the point guard spot now with Brandon Jennings, Chauncey Billups, Will Bynum and Rodney Stuckey already on the roster. Just yesterday, it was rumored they still had interest in Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo.
At this point, expect someone to get cut, moved to shooting guard, traded or just not play.
