If the New England Patriots are to get off to a quick start in the 2013-14 NFL regular season, it will probably get done on the back of a stout running game and a physical defense.

The Patriots passing offense, though, will look like a sham of itself.

The Boston Globe is reporting that tight end Rob Gronkowski will miss the first six games of the regular season, because he will be on the PUP list.

Gronkowski has been in street clothes throughout training camp, as he has been recovering from back surgery for a herniated disc since June 18.
