Connor-Shaw-September-2013
It’s a good thing for South Carolina that Steve Spurrier has always relished the idea of having two quarterbacks ready. Spurrier announced after the Gamecocks’ difficult 28-25 victory over Central Florida that his starting quarterback Connor Shaw will miss two-to-three weeks with a shoulder injury.

Shaw, of course, has had shoulder issues before after missing several games last season with a clavicle injury. Spurrier loves backup Dylan Thompson, and after replacing Shaw, he completed 15-of-32 passes for 261 yards and an interception.

The junior will, of course, start in place of Shaw until he’s healthy enough to return.
