Chris-Canty-Justin-Tuck-2013
Earlier this week, coming off the New York Giants’ blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, defensive lineman Justin Tuck called out his teammates. The two-time Pro Bowler made it clear that if any Giants players turned on head coach Tom Coughlin, they’d be punched in the mouth.

“If anyone turns on our coach, I would be the first one to punch him in the mouth,” Tuck said, according to the New York Daily News. “And put that in print. It better not happen, I know that.”

Former Giants and current Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Chris Canty got wind of Tuck's threat to his former teammates, and wasn’t really impressed. According to Canty, Tuck should worry more about punching the opposing offense, and less about his teammates.

“First and foremost, let’s address Justin Tuck’s comment,’’ Canty said, via CBS New York. “He said he’d punch anybody in the mouth that had anything to say about Tom Coughlin in that locker room. Justin needs to worry about punching opposing offenses in the mouth. The way you show that you have your coach’s back is by going out there on that football field and performing.

“I’m sure Tuck is defending his coach. Tom Coughlin is an excellent coach. He’s a great man, so obviously as a player, you want to have his back. But you’ve got to show that on the field. That’s got to be taken care of on the field.”

What do you think of Canty's comments?
