Hakeem Nicks knows the New York Giants are now 0-6 so far in the 2013 NFL season, and they are all but out of it and spiraling towards a long winter. He’s also heard the trade rumors, and while he’s flattered by all the attention, Nicks says he loves playing for the Giants.

“I’m a Giant, and that’s the only thing I can focus on right now,” Nicks said Monday, via CBS New York. “I’m a Giant, and I love playing for the Giants. I’m a Giant right now, and I’m going to stand strong on that.”

Nicks was then asked if he felt the Giants had room to pay him with all their pressing needs, and the big deal they gave other wide receiver Victor Cruz.

“As of now, I’m a Giant,” he said. “At the end of the day, business is business. But I haven’t been getting any whiff of anything like that. I’m a Giant right now, and I’m going to enjoy it, and we’ve got to start winning games.”

Several teams have been interested in Nicks — the Atlanta Falcons are rumored to be one of them with Julio Jones out for the season.
