It was reported not too long ago that Louisville guard Kevin Ware was transferring away from the Cardinals. According to CBS Sports, Ware is heading to Georgia State.

The junior made the announcement on Twitter:

When the announcement came the Ware was leaving, the Atlanta native had Auburn and Georgia State has his two main options so he could stay close to him.

Ware is a 6-foot-2 shooting guard who was infamously seen on national television during the 2013 Elite Eight breaking his leg in the most gruesome way.

Ware was able to recover, but suffered another leg injury that caused him to play only nine games this season. He is seeking a medical redshirt.

Georgia State should be able to do solid with Ware now. Ware is a pretty solid guard and could help the Panthers, who finished 25-9 this season, become even better in 2014 and maybe help them if they make the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
