Danny Woodhead July 2014

The San Diego Chargers have made some moves on Tuesday, and they capped it off by signing running back Danny Woodhead to a two-year extension. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed yet, according to ESPN.

Woodhead celebrated the new deal on Twitter:

Woodhead had a career year in 2013 with San Diego.

He had 429 rushing yards for two touchdowns, but his impact was mainly in the passing game. He was second on the team with catches with 76. He also had 605 receiving yards and six touchdowns, the most for a running back last season.

"Danny is an integral part of our offense," Chargers general manager Tom Telesco said in a statement. "His work ethic and on-field production were key elements last year. We look forward to having him be a part of the Chargers organization into the future."

The Chargers will have a nice running back trio of Ryan Mathews, Donald Brown and Woodhead for this season.
