LeBron James Cavaliers July 2014

LeBron James will not only be competing with 29 other NBA teams to win a title, but he can also add one NFL team to the mix in the Cleveland Browns.

Browns cornerback Joe Haden dropped the challenge when he said his team will compete with LeBron's Cavaliers to bring the first championship for the city of Cleveland since the Browns in 1964.

"LeBron makes things happen pretty quickly, so we're going to have to get to it,'' Haden said, via ESPN.

"I say it's going to be a tight fight. I know me and (Johnny) Manziel will be pushing to make that happen before. That's why LeBron is coming here, to bring a championship to the city, and I'm trying to do the same thing."

Hype in Cleveland has been growing wild since the Browns drafted quarterback Johnny Manziel. It's only going to grow with James returning to Northern Ohio.

"It's a great day in Cleveland,'' Haden said. "It's been almost overwhelming. I was actually having my football camp when people that were at my camp -- peoples' parents -- were like, 'Oh my goodness, LeBron's here. LeBron's here. LeBron's coming back home.' I'm super excited. I've been a really, really big LeBron supporter."

Haden also welcomed LeBron to play on the Browns if he'd like, also willing to give his No. 23 jersey to him.

"If he wants to come (play for the Browns), I'd welcome him with open arms,'' said Haden. "He might be the only person I could give 23."

We'll see if things for Cleveland sports will finally start lighting up this year.
