Geno Smith says he’s pressure free entering the New York Jets training camp, and that could totally be related to having a top-notch security blanket at wide receiver.

During his local youth football camp in New Jersey, all Smith could talk about was his new best friend Brandon Marshall.

“He’s a quarterback’s best friend … For one, he’s a veteran guy,” Smith said, via the team’s website. “He understands the game on and off the field. He’s a beast of a player. You can’t say enough good things about him.”

The arrival of Marshall, paired with Eric Decker, gives Smith his best tandem of receivers since he’s arrived in New York. The addition of Stevan Ridley and Devin Smith also gives Smith his best overall offense as well.
