The controversy over public funding being used to pay for sports stadiums isn’t new, with pro sports franchises using the threat of a move to scare cities and tax-paying fans into paying for a swanky new stadium.

The Milwaukee Bucks are the latest franchise to do it, threatening to relocate to Las Vegas or Seattle if they don’t receive public funding for a new arena.
