Coleman was booked into King County Jail early Thursday without bond.
The Seattle Times reports that Coleman, who was driving a Dodge pickup, struck a Honda Civic around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday night. Police say Coleman exited his vehicle and left the scene, but was later arrested without incident.
Coleman is legally deaf and his football success has made him an inspirational figure. He has been featured in TV commercials and written a book that was released this year.
