Phil Simms will not be going away quietly. The now removed lead CBS commentator made his first public comment since being replaced in the booth by former Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Tony Romo.

“I am not done,” Simms told Gary Myers of the New York Daily News in a text message.

Simms made it clear that he won’t be retiring, even after being replaced by Romo as the color commentator on CBS Sports' lead NFL team.

Simms also made it seem as if he was blindsided by the move as well.
