We’re well into 2022 by now, but there’s plenty more excellent golf to come as the year goes on. Today we’re looking at 10 golfers you should watch out for in 2022.

We predict big things from these 10. Whether you’re a golfer yourself, want to learn, are simply a big fan, or you’re planning on placing some bets this year, these are the golfers you should be keeping an eye on!

Scottie Scheffler

The current world number one at the time of writing (and just won the Masters), Scottie Scheffler has had an amazing start to the year.

In fact, just 42 days before hitting that number one spot, Scheffler still had no wins behind his name! Three huge victories this year—the WM Phoenix Open, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play—shot him up to No. 1.

Collin Morikawa

Morikawa is miles above anyone else on the Tour when it comes to his iron play. He may not have the strongest drive, but he more than makes up for it with his iron game and precision putting.

Ranked third in the world at the moment, he’s showing no signs of losing his momentum, especially as few other players are challenging him around the green right now.

Pauline Roussin-Bouchard

The 21-year-old French golfer is known for her fitness and her fun, being filled with character on and off the course.

She only turned pro last August, but promptly sailed to a win at the Skaftö Open on the Ladies European Tour.

She’s currently ranked 147th, but we foresee some rapid climbing thanks to her extreme dedication to fitness and her golfing work ethic.

Atthaya Thitikul

Since winning the 201 Ladies European Thailand Championship at the age of just 14 years, 4 months, and 19 days, Thai golfer Atthaya Thitikul has been on everyone’s radar.

The now 19-year-old turned pro at the beginning of 2020. She was named Rookie of the Year for 2022, and also sealed her first LPGA Tour win earlier in the year. Definitely worth keeping an eye on!

Jon Rahm

Rahmbo is ranked second in the world right now and shows no sign of slipping down the ranks at all.

After breaking the record for a number of weeks at the top of the World Amateur Golf Rankings (60 weeks), he spent almost as long (43 weeks) in the top spot at the Official World Golf Rankings.

He’s a powerhouse on the green, and we foresee plenty more success for him this year.

Rasmus Hojgaard

Rasmus Hojgaard is one-half of twins (the second of whom we’ll talk about below!), and although he’s sitting at 106th in the world right now, he’s got all the potential to rise to the top.

The third-youngest golfer ever and the firstborn in the 2000s to win a European Tour event, Rasmus is definitely a player to watch as the year goes on.

Nicolai Hojgaard

The older of the Hojgaard twins, Nicolai is ranked 80th and has the most recent victory, the Ras Al Khaimah Championship in February 2022.

He had an extremely successful amateur career, and although he’s been less busy than his brother as a pro, we still predict amazing things from him this year.

Max Homa

Homa currently stands in 37th position in the rankings, but he’s got all the potential in the world to jump to the top ten this year.

With a 180+ mph drive speed and a wicked iron game, he’s certainly one to watch. He’s also one of the wittiest golfers on social media, so give him a follow.

Garrick Higgo

22-year-old South African Higgo turned pro in 2019, with seven amateur wins under his belt.

He’s already won three events on the European Tour and a PGA event since then, becoming only the second player in the past 33 years to be victorious at a PGA event in his first two starts.

Keep a close eye on the left-hander - we foresee great things for him!

Tania Tare

She’s not tearing up the pro circuit, but Tare is still definitely one to watch this year. She’s a pro-trick-shotter, and the things she can do with a club and golf ball are super fun to watch.

Check her out when you need some inspiration, but be careful…you could be stuck watching her Instagram feed for hours on end.
