Urban Meyer Wants the Jets to Start Tim Tebow

 

It has been a circus this past week since the New York Jets traded for Tim Tebow. Now Urban Meyer, who was Tebow's head coach back in Florida, wants the Jets to start him. 

“Let him play,” the Ohio State head coach said on ESPN. “Just let him play.”

Meyer says they should let offenses trust Tebow and let him run the offense his way. Meyer says that was the key for them winning over the Steelers in the AFC Wildcard round of last season's NFL Playoffs. 

“When they had success I think they did,” Meyer said. “When you started seeing him throw against those easy coverages it was because they had to stop the run.”

It's going to be interesting to see what happens.
