Joe Johnson averaged 19 points, four assists, and four rebounds per game. Does that really deserve any kind of consideration or even a fifth-place vote for the Most Valuable Player award?

The Atlanta Hawks guard, at some points throughout the season, was inconsistent and forward Josh Smith played better then him.

Johnson was signed to a mega-$119-million-deal from Atlanta in 2010, but in no way has he lived up to that at all so far. No offense to Johnson, but I want to know who voted him at fifth-place.

I could name many others who deserved a fifth-place vote over Johnson. I think the always crazy ESPN TV personality snuck in and gave Johnson the vote. Either way, this is ridiculous. Johnson didn't deserve any kind of consideration -- even a fifth-place vote for his performance this season.

Below is the full ballot for the MVP:

There needs to be only voting for first-through-third on the MVP-ballot. There is no need to know how many people voted this player with fourth-and-fifth-place votes. There needs to be a change to the MVP-balloting system. There is no way Johnson should've gotten a single vote.
