Social media can make a bad day even worse for certain people.

While Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson was being harassed into an 11-of-26 for 200 yards and two-interception performance in a blowout loss to Alabama, his instate counterparts in East Lansing took to Twitter to voice their Spartan opinions.

MLive provided the tweets of the Michigan State players that were eventually taken down.

“Is this guy really a QB I’ll say my mans (walk-on Tommy Vento) is a better QB lol,” linebacker Denicos Allen tweeted. “S/O to my boy vento by the way.”

“DENARD IS SOOOO BAD!” safety Kyle Artinian tweeted. “And it makes me feel so good.”

“I can play quarterback for the school in blue,” linebacker Jamal Lylestweeted. “(Le’Veon Bell) for heisman > the other guy in the great state of michigan.”

After Denard’s 71-yard completion to Jeremy Gallon a player tweeted.

“Even a blind squirrel can get a nut ever once in a while…,” running back Nick Hill tweeted after the play.

Things are always funny when you are not the one going through it. Tommy Vento wouldn’t have completed a pass against that Bama defense. Le’Veon Bell would never rush for 200-plus yards against that Bama defense.

Karma has a way of working these things out though. Michigan State travels to Ann Arbor October 20. I have a feeling that Robinson might play well in that matchup.
