Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is heading to the Super Bowl. Not only is it a big win for him, but for his foundation, The Peyback Foundation, as well.Before the game, every "Omaha" Manning calls during the game would be raised for charity. Manning had nearly 50 last week versus the San Diego Chargers, and he called 31 Omahas today in a win over the New England Patriots. With that, Manning raised $24,800 for charity.
"This has been terrific for us," said David G. Brown, president and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, which headed up the effort. "Before Friday, we had calculated that news coverage of Omaha had generated the equivalent of about $10 million in advertising."
We'll see if anyone tries to take part in Manning's "Fat Man" call next.
