air-jordan-11-columbiaI am a big fan of the Air Jordan 11s. In fact, it might just be my favorite model out of the Air Jordans, along with the 6s.

We've seen some great colorways of the 11s release and re-release around Christmas time for the past few years, such as the Concords, Cool Greys, Space Jams, Breds and just recently, the Gamma Blues.

However, one colorway many sneakerheads have been asking for to re-release are the Columbias. The last time the Columbias re-released was back in 2001, and you're lucky enough to find a pair in good condition that's lower than $500 on eBay.

In 2013, many thought the Columbias would see a re-release. Sadly, it never happened. Jordan delivered us with a brand new colorway to the 11 model, which, of course, was the Gammas.

Could this be the year we see the Columbias return? According to Kicks On Fire, rumors are spreading that it could finally happen around the Holidays in 2014 this year.

It'll be crazy when it does. It's probably the most-wanted colorway now for Jordan heads now. Today, you will only see pairs of Columbias being very yellowed and/or beat up.

A new look for Columbias will be interesting to see, since the last time we saw it, the Jumpan logo on the left shoe was facing the other way. Along with that, Nike Air branding was on the 2001 retro. In fact, I was able to scoop up a 2001 pair for a good price, but having a newer, updated version for the Columbia 11s would be a lot better.

Let's hope Jordan Brand does it this year.
