Former NBA player Derek Anderson is looking to hit Hollywood, as he plans to have an autobiographical movie made about his life, according to TMZ. Anderson has quite the story.

Anderson was homeless before his teenage years and he became a father when he was only 15 years old. However, Anderson got past those struggles to become a college basketball champion at Kentucky.

He also played 11 years in the NBA, where he won a championship as a member of the Miami Heat in 2006. His story is very inspiring, as he even went on to become a rep for Jordan Brand.

Anderson looks to pitch the screenplay to a director like Lee Daniels or Mark Wahlberg. He already has some actors in mind to play him.

"Maybe Jaden Smith could play me from 11-14 and like Mehcad Brooks could play the older version of me. It’s hard to find actors that can play ball and Mehcad can ball," he said.

Anderson hopes to see the film release sometime in 2015 next year. He adds there is a still a few more scripts, then it will be ready to go.
