The 2014 NBA Playoffs is approaching very fast, and the playoff picture is starting formulate as well.
In the Eastern Conference, we have the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers battling for eighth seed as the other seven spots have already been clinched.
In the West, the Portland Trail Blazers just clinched a playoff berth. They currently attain the fifth seed, which leaves the Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies battling for the final three seeds.
One of those three teams will be kicked out and currently that team is Memphis with a 45-32 record, trailing a game behind the Suns for the eighth spot.
Above, you can see what the 2014 NBA Playoffs picture would look like.
With the Knicks' loss to the Heat on Sunday, they will have to go 4-0 the rest of the way and hope Atlanta goes 2-3 or 3-2 the rest of the way. For the Cavs, they need to win every game and hope the other two teams lose out.
It's a crazy race right now, but all signs point towards the Hawks making it thanks to their huge win over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.
Speaking of which, the Heat and Pacers are still battling for the East's No. 1 seed.
The Pacers trail one game behind right now and could essentially gain their spot back as the top seed if they can beat Miami this Friday when both teams face off for the final time this regular season.
Based on the current playoff picture, I would pick these teams to win the following series:
East: Heat over Hawks (4-0), Pacers over Bobcats (4-2), Raptors over Wizards (4-3), Nets over Bulls (4-3)
West: Spurs over Suns (4-1), Thunder over Mavericks (4-2), Warriors over Clippers (4-3), Rockets over Blazers (4-2)
The NBA Playoffs are coming! Can't wait!
