Chicago Bulls v Sacramento Kings

The Chicago Bulls amenstied Carlos Boozer on Tuesday, which leaves the veteran power forward to sign elsewhere with multiple teams expected to make bids for him.

The amnesty waiver process has began for Boozer, with teams with cap space having until Thursday's deadline to make a blind bid for ex-Bulls big man's services.

According to ESPN, the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz have enough cap space to make a bid for Boozer.

The Rockets, Hawks and Hornets are reportedly the frontrunners to get Boozer.

Charlotte would make the most sense since Josh McRoberts is gone. Boozer can make a nice frontcourt tandem with Al Jefferson and can help make the Hornets a legit contender in the Eastern Conference. After signing Lance Stephenson, they have a little over $6 million in cap space to sign Boozer.

The Hawks could work, but Boozer will likely come off the bench. For the Rockets, Boozer would end up starting while making a frontcourt tandem with Dwight Howard. It won't be Chris Bosh for Houston, but it will be good enough. They have more than enough cap space to make deal for him, too.

We'll see where Boozer ends up soon.
