The New England Patriots are fearing for regarding the hip injury of defensive end Chandler Jones, and it doesn't sound good.
When Jones initially suffered the injury during Week 7 versus the New York Jets, it was believed he would be out for only about four weeks. Now it looks like he could be out for a much longer time period.
Per the Boston Herald, New England fears he could be out for the rest of the 2014 NFL season.
Best case, Jones will be out six weeks from the point of the injury, but they were not optimistic about the short end of the timetable upon the initial diagnosis.
At the earliest, Jones won't be back until Week 13 when the Pats take on the Green Bay Packers.
Jones currently has 4.5 sacks on the season.
