JR Smith had his moments throughout the 2014-15 NBA season, but most will remember him for how tremendously he struggled during the NBA Finals versus the Golden State Warriors.
Smith is a free agent after declining his $6.4 million player-option. Smith is keeping his options open, and while it seems likely he will return to Cleveland, the Cavs reportedly don't seem to pressed to re-sign the shooting guard.
From Cleveland.com:
"I know they do not value him there," a league source said of the Cavs' attitude toward Smith, who was brilliant starting at shooting guard when he arrived in a trade from the Knicks in January but suffered notable missteps in the playoffs.
We'll see how this free agency period goes for Mr. Earl Smith.
