With nothing else to lose, Donald Jump just gave his opinion on the Redskins name debate, and I’m sure it’s going to stir up some controversy.

Piggy backing off of Jeb Bush’s comments, Trump says he doesn’t have a problem with Washington’s nickname.

“Honestly, I don’t think they should change the name, unless the owner wanted to,” Trump said, via the New York Times.

Trump believes the debate over the team name is “yet another issue of unnecessary political correctness," stating that the name isn’t offensive to Native Americans.

“I know Indians that are extremely proud of that name,” he said. “They think it’s a positive.”

The idea that Trump or any other politicians knowing what’s best and how Native Americans or Indians feel is absurd.
