Talk about fandom and loyalty all rolled into one crazy and dangerous night.

A 43-year-old Pittsburgh Penguins fan refused treatment from paramedics, in order to finish watching the team's game 1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

I forgot to mention that the fan didn’t miss one second of action after being stabbed in the head with a screwdriver by a 25-year-old fan, according to Yahoo Sports.
The 43-year-old victim — who was revealed to be the owner of the auto body shop — told police he had gotten into a heated argument with a 25-year-old male. The altercation came to a boil when the younger man reportedly stabbed the victim in the skull with a sharp tool, The Guardian reports.

In what can only be described as a macho attempt to stay loyal to his team, the victim refused treatment from paramedics, according to the officers. He ensured that he would drive himself to the hospital when the game was over, and he did, without missing a single second of Pittsburgh’s 3-1 win over Columbus.
No arrest has been made yet in the incident, but on a cool note the Penguins defeated the Blue Jackets 3-1 to jump out to a 1-0 lead in the first-round best-of-seven series.
