Robert Williams and the Aggies played like he’d already decided to go pro. The Texas A&M forward is planning on entering the NBA Draft, per Austin Laymance of the Houston Chronicle.
“It’s something I’ve been dreaming about – the next step,” Williams said.
Texas A&M was blown out by Michigan, 99-72, in a Sweet 16 loss that saw Williams go for 12 points, six rebounds, and three blocks.
“It’s just a blessing,” Williams said. “Every kid dreams of going pro in a sport they love. Just knowing I have a chance, an opportunity to receive that blessing is great.”
Williams averaged 10.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in his sophomore season, and is projected as ESPN’s No. 6-ranked draft-eligible prospect.
