Eagles News: Michael Vick Officially Named Starter For Preseason Opener

As expected, the first ball dropped in the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback battle between Michael Vick and Nick Foles.

Eagles Insider is reporting that Michael Vick will start the team's preseason opener against the New England Patriots. We rumored yesterday that Vick was believed to start in the preseason opener this Friday versus New England.

Chip Kelly: mike Vick will start tomorrow night.

Kelly says between 12 and 20 snaps is ideal goal for both QBs on Friday night. Vick starts because it is his turn in the rotation.

Head coach Chip Kelly says it really doesn’t matter who starts, but I think the writing would have been on the wall had Foles trotted out to take the first snap of Friday’s ball game.
