See what a good start can do for you?

Before July, Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland was embattled, scrutinized, and on the hot seat.  After the Fins' 3-0 start so far to the 2013 NFL season, Ireland is now lauded for his work, as he is getting blessed with a contract extension.

The Miami Herald is reporting that Ireland got the extension during the offseason.

Ireland’s contract originally was up after this season. Now, he’s secure through the end of the 2014 season. So, he essentially gets another year to mess it up.

Ireland is more known for insulting people, than he is for building a team.

What do you think of this deal?
