Texas Tech fan Jeff Orr claims he called Marcus Smart a "piece of crap" and not a racial slur like the N-word as first reported during the shoving incident in Saturday night's loss for the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

The video below support Orr's claim:

Orr also released this statement, via Texas Tech:
I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere apologies to Marcus Smart, Oklahoma State, Tubby Smith and the Texas Tech Men’s Basketball program. My actions last night were inappropriate and do not reflect myself or Texas Tech – a university I love dearly. I regret calling Mr. Smart a “piece of crap” but I want to make it known that I did not use a racial slur of any kind. Additionally, I would like to offer my apologies to Texas Tech fans that have been embarrassed by the attention this incident has created.

What is unknown is why Smart told OSU coaches that a racial slur was used. We don't fully know if it that was the case. The video isn't the full evidence that supports Orr's claim, because who knows if he said anything else that's not heard in the video?

Smart has been suspended for three games by the Big 12 since the incident, and he has apologized for what he did to Orr. Meanwhile, Orr says he will no longer attend any more games for the remainder of the college basketball season.
