For me, it’s the stat line...or lack of stats by Parker Barrineau that make the tweet so dumb.
The Alabama wide receiver took to Twitter after the Crimson Tide’s 43-37 loss to the Rebels, to let fans know that the college football playoffs were still on the horizon, regardless of the loss.
Talking trash after a game is fine, even after a loss, but you can’t after you deliver a two catch, 16-yard performance.
Barrineau deleted the tweet and apologized.
"I apologize. I sent out an emotional tweet at an emotional time. Hats off to Ole Miss. They have a great team and played a heck of a game," he wrote in a tweet, which was also deleted.
